YAP Ireland have a vacancy for an Independent Mental Health Advocate
based in CHO area 4, Cork and Kerry. This post will be located in the
YAP Ireland Cork office with a requirement for some national travel.

Youth Advocate Programmes Ireland provides intensive, needs led
support services that work to improve the lives of young people and
their families in their community:
The Independent Mental Health Advocate will lead in the delivery of a
high-quality Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service to children,
young people and families within adolescent inpatient units and within
a community setting. They will be working within our strengths-based
model and operate within YAP Ireland policies and procedures. This
post also requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity in
responding to the needs of young people and families, delivering a
high standard of service in a changing climate, working time and the
requirement for national travel. This post will be based in CHO area
4, Cork and Kerry with a requirement for some national travel.
Successful Candidates will have a Degree in Advocacy or Social Care
field eg. Youth Work, Community Work, Psychology, Child Psychology,
Social Work, Social Science, and Social Care and will have at least 3
years of direct work with children and at least 2 years-experience of
managing and supervising staff/ volunteers in the social care sector.
